I’m happy to announce the release of EGs 3.3 with more fixes, updates and additions.
    • Much better language support
    • POSIX Crypt(3) Password Hash
    • Security fixes (minor)
    • Session handling updates
    • CSRF protection (stated not 100% yet)
Downloads located in the usual places http://egs.ircmojo.org

I also want to talk about http://epicgeeks.net and what I’ve been up to.

At EpicGeeks we are now offering up more EGs modules, futher Atheme <-> Website integration options, as well as now offer custom per-site based solutions! You can hire us to work for you! Either building you a custom web app, or perhaps a web app for your IRC network that works with Atheme, maybe you just need a website revamp, no matter what we can custom tailor a solution for you.

Not only do we do custom web work but we also have pre-built solutions to Atheme <-> Forum integration as well as more EGs modules, like HelpServ and Web API.

Head on over to http://epicgeeks.net and check us out.

Prices are a bit too steep for me but good work nonetheless. If IRC actually magically turned around and paid off some bills then maybe but it doesn't, so I find it hard to actually spend a lot of money on it. I can see this aimed at more popular networks, where the HelpServ ticket system can be useful.

If you buy say the IPB integration does this enable you to use it as many times as you want on any amount of websites??

Yes I don't limit how many times you can use it, when you purchase it also allows for 1 year worth of upgrades as well.

    That new theme looks great.

Are you by any chance going to allow old themes to be optional, if you know what I mean?

Old themes? Sorry lost me? Did you mean just the original EGs theme, back in version 2?

He's asking if your going to allow multiple themes with EGS and probably a way to select them.

The new theme looks awesome btw :)

    Yeah what Trixar said.

Like on forums, were you can usually choose from 3-4 themes. Would you allow that to happen with EGs, it'd be interesting to see if people started making/submitting their own themes!

At this point no, I don't think I'll add in support for theme switching on a per-user basis, however users can already have the ability to create and edit existing themes.

Probably @ Tappy. There is still the Atheme's mirror of it, but it hasn't been updated in months...

No, EGs is still and will always be available: https://bitbucket.org/jnewing/egs/ there will be a few minor updates to in the weeks to come, however a new version for a new version of atheme is in the works, but it's a LARGE re-write and I work on it in my spare time. (Sadly there is not much of that)

It's coming, however it's quite different, the way all things are dealt with, so it's taking a little longer, however it will be worth the wait. I think anyway.
